"Anyone You Want" wins "Best Storyline Award" at Boston International Film Festival, 2010

We are super-excited here as the film has just won the BEST STORYLINE AWARD at the Boston International Film Festival 2010.

We would like to thank Patrick Jerome, Jean Desire and the whole festival team who made us feel so welcome.

We had a packed out screening and showed the film to people from America, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary...some of them even wore wigs...we keep promising you wigs...stay tuned for the wigs...

Following the great global premiere of ANYONE YOU WANT in California we have been invited to The Boston International Film Festival on the 17th of April. This is a renowned festival and the first eastern US showcase for the film.

There have been many requests on our Twitter and Facebook pages about further screenings and we are working on both festivals and distribution in UK, Europe and Australia right now!

The CINEQUEST FILM FESTIVAL in Silicon Valley California was a fantastic experience. We shared the film with extremely enthusiastic audiences over three nights.

"Anyone You Want" goes to Cinequest Festival, California

At "Anyone You Want" Central we're all over-excited because the film has been selected for the massive Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California. 82,000 attendees last year and one of the top ten festivals in the U.S.

The World Premiere is on the 3rd of March with two more screenings on the 5th and 6th of March at the Camera 12 Cinema. Here's our page to book tickets.

The film is in competition in the New Visions Program sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Shooting "Anyone You Want"

The film was shot in 26 and a half ten hour days in the leafy Glebe area of Sydney. A plum film location with blue bays, fig trees and narrow streets of tumbledown Victorian houses.

We had a tiny crew of ten who worked like crazy people to bring this story to life. Brycen Horne was the Director of Photography and achieved an amazing look without cranes, jib arms or steadicams. We used a high-end Sony F900R HDCAM camera with Zeiss film lenses.

Writing "Anyone You Want."

“Anyone You Want” is about a homeless girl in Sydney, who lures a young businessman into her fantasy world of changing names, personalities and costumes.

When I wrote it I was interested in looking at ideas of identity and fantasy. I think we all spend time in alternative realities whether imaginary or played-out and this film is a romantic and often comic take on living out those dreams.

The story came to me quite quickly and went through several drafts - after notes from readers and also during rehearsal with the actors.
